HSMAI TO HONOR OCEANIA CRUISES WITH TWO AWARDS IN ITS ANNUAL ADRIAN AWARDS COMPETITION

Awards to be Presented on Jan. 31, 2011 in New York City

NEW YORK, November 29, 2010 - The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize Oceania Cruises with two Adrian Awards for public relations excellence in the 54th annual Adrian Awards competition, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally.

HSMAI will pay tribute to Oceania Cruises during its annual Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives on January 31, 2011, at the New York Marriott Marquis.

Oceania Cruises' winning entries included:

  • GOLD - Marina Road Show & Pre-Launch Campaign. In anticipation of introducing its new ship cruise, Marina, in January 2011, a sampling of activities included facilitating a partnership with Ralph Lauren Home; introducing Jacques Pepin's first restaurant at sea; debuting the Bon Appetit Culinary Center; organizing a hard-hat shipyard visit for key media; announcing partnerships with Wine Spectator and Lalique of Paris; and orchestrating a 200-guest, multi-media road show in seven U.S. and Canadian cities.

  • BRONZE - Feature story in The Miami Herald by Cruise Writer Martha Brannigan entitled "The Next Level: The young Miami-based Oceania Cruises, which has carved out a niche as an upper premium line with its focus on fine food and exotic itineraries, is on a fast growth track."

    "We are so pleased to be recognized by HSMAI for our collective endeavors in introducing the highly anticipated Marina and showcasing the exciting future of the Oceania Cruises brand," states James Rodriguez, the line's senior vice president of marketing.

    This year's contest attracted nearly 1,100 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry.

"This year's winners represent the most inspiring examples of travel advertising, public relations, and digital marketing.
